Hi there! My name is pronounced "Pay-Yee". I make simple designs that aim to effectively communicate the messages. I enjoy browsing easy-to-use websites and appreciating nature.
Type Story is a website that introduces the viewer to the past, present, and future of typography. After drawing thumbnail sketches and wireframes, I used Illustrator to make three mockups. This is the first website that I coded with CSS and HTML! The coding process was tedious but rewarding. Background image credit: unsplash.com.
This is a Minimalist Tumblr template. It aims to give the audience a clean interface where they can browse their content with much breathing space. It was tricky to work with many Tumblr Variables to put the content in, but the process was fun and I would definitely make more templates in the future. I worked with HTML and CSS to make the template. Background image credit: unsplash.com.
Design and the Play Instinct is an article written by Paul Rand. I constructed the article into a small book by designing the layout, arranging the content, and binding the book. I had lots of fun in the design process as I experimented with different color schemes and typefaces and familiarized with InDesign.
This is a web splash I made for Koinonia Christian Fellowship at UC Davis. Winter Retreat is a must-go annual retreat for Koinoinia where people get to get away from the busy life and listen to God’s word in retreat site. Background image credit: unsplash.com.
This is another web splash I made for Koinonia. Sports Night is a Friday event where people in the college department come together and bond over sports. Background image credit: Gracepoint Davis Flickr.
The Peanuts Movie is fictional exhibition. It required at least three images of which one of them has to be vector images. Having learned Photoshop and Illustrator for a quarter back when I made it, I was challenged by working with large sized images and coming up with concepts to represent The Peanuts. All images are from the Internet.
Now that you've know a little about myself and my work. I would like to know more about you! Talk to me about anything, be it improvement of this website, UX/UI design, Web Development, or even purpose of life.
